ESET Ranks No. 89 on the 26th Annual Inc. 500 with Three-Year Sales Growth of 1,657.5 Percent
SAN DIEGO, August 24, 2007 – Inc. magazine today ranked ESET, the leader in proactive threat protection, No. 89 on its 26th Annual Inc. 500 list, a compilation of the fastest-growing private companies in the U.S. The prestigious ranking measures revenue over the previous three years, and as of December 31, 2006, eligible companies were required to have $200,000 in revenue in 2003, and $2 million in 2006. With our smart, real-time detection, strong financial resources and more than 25 million customers worldwide, ESET customers can rest assured that they will continue to be protected from the latest malware threats and other criminally motivated online attacks.
“If you want to find out which companies are going to change the world, look at the Inc. 500,” said Inc. Editor Jane Berentson. “These are the most innovative, dynamic, fast-growth companies in the nation, the ones coming up with solutions to some of our most intractable ills, creating systems that let us conduct business faster and easier, and manufacturing products we soon discover we can’t live without. The Inc. 500 list is Inc. magazine’s tribute to American business ingenuity and ambition.”
The 2007 Inc. 500, as revealed in the September issue of Inc. magazine, reported aggregate revenue of $16 billion and median three-year growth of 939 percent. Most important, the 2007 Inc. 500 companies were engines of job growth, having created more than 64,064 jobs since those companies were founded.
“It is truly an honor to be listed among Inc.’s top 100 private organizations,” said Anton Zajac, president and CEO of ESET, LLC. “Our ranking is a testament to our customers’ loyalty and the strength of our security offerings, allowing us to grow more than sixteen-hundred percent in the last three years. And, as #2 in the Security category for the Inc. 500 list, we will continue to challenge the security industry with our top–performing threat protection solution and are dedicated to continuing to provide the best protection for our customers.”
